Just when we thought we have seen it all… We go to a lot of rat rod shows and events and we have seen almost every kind of hand-built vehicle on the scene, but this truck, car, or as Hernandez Body Shop in Mexico calls it, “The Beast,” is one of the wildest rat rods to date.
What happens to an old inline diesel-powered truck that has been on the road too long? Why, you make a rat rod drag car out of it, of course! Obviously, NHRA rules don’t apply to this machine.
Described only as “Mexicans celebrate ‘Day of the Trucker’ 2010 in Tijuana, Mexico. Truck drag racers.” This short video is either a sign of the apocalypse or proof that our neighbors to the South are quickly becoming the lawless wasteland foretold in “Mad Max.”
We have limited information on this vehicle, but from what we do know is that it is a Kenworth motor on a custom-made frame and it doesn’t haul freight anymore, but it definitely hauls ass! Check out the video and have fun. Maybe the next rat rod out of Mexico will be “The Chupacabra.”
