Whatever happened to the days when car modeling wasn’t just about showing off as much skin as possible? Well, wherever it went, 24-year-old photographer Trent Sherrill wants it to return and is doing his part to bring back classy pin-up photography to the hot rod community through his work. However, just because the models in his amazing photographs aren’t scantily clad doesn’t mean that they are not appealing. To see more for yourself, make sure to check out some of Sherrill’s work in the video above.
Pin-up modeling started back in the early 1900s but has remained a part of the hot rod culture to this very day. Unfortunately though, more crude forms of modeling have taken the lead in the industry as far as what gets the most publicity and attention. But that hasn’t stopped Sherrill from following his passion to focus on “old school” pin up photography with class. Sherrill’s motto describes his work as “classy never trashy” – and we definitely have to agree.
Some may argue that there is a place for the more crude form of modeling, but we’ve got to admit – this is more our style. Classy, elegant and oh so hot rod and Kustom Kulture, we hope there will always be a major place in the automotive industry for this type of modeling and hot rod pin-up style. Call us biased, but nothing gets better than a classy old-school pin up girl and a down right gorgeous hot rod.
Thanks Trent! Keep up the great work!
