Fans that attend the upcoming GoodGuys 21st annual Southeastern Nationals in Charlotte, North Carolina can expect to see the return of the Wall of Death! The Wall of Death is a 90-degree vertical wooden wall that Cody and Kyle Ives navigate while riding vintage Harley Davidson Motorcycles among other vehicles including a go-kart. The attraction is always a fan favorite and is a throwback to the 30’s and 40’s carnival attractions.
According to the video, The Wall of Death is a family affair: “The Wall of Death is their passion, and allows them to carry on a tradition of board track style racing that is nearly extinct… The Wall of Death has been entertaining people almost as long as people have been riding motorcycles, and has roots that trace back to Coney Island New York in 1911. The Ives Brothers are so proud to be part of something so incredible and historic, and want to continue to share and show this historic event to others all around the world.”
Best of all the Ives brothers do not charge any admission to see their death defying stunts, although they do take tips. You can see the Wall of Death along with thousands of classic and custom cars October 24th – 26th at the Charlotte Motor Speedway during the 21st annual Southeastern Nationals.
