Amazingly the driver of the truck saves it as the ’26 Blown Ford crosses the center line and cuts in front of him. This wild crash took place at the Outlaw Armageddon No Prep event at Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Lexington, Oklahoma. All seems to be going fine as the driver of the ’26 Ford does his burnout in preparation for the race, but once the flash light drops, it goes downhill quickly.
Shortly after the 60-ft, the ’26 gets a little loose, which leads to sideways, and then the car veers out of its lane crossing in front of the truck. The driver of the truck does his best to navigate his vehicle down the track while avoiding the careening Ford. Throughout the craziness, it appears that the ’26 might tip over and roll, but fortunately the driver did his best to keep the wild car under control.
The car continued to bounce against the wall, but it came to rest and the driver calmly unlatched his helmet while still inside. Emergency personnel came to the aid of the driver, but he seemed to need no assistance as he exited his car.
Both drivers probably needed to check themselves for skid marks, but fortunately no one was hurt. As for the ’26, the damage does not appear to be severe and the drag car should be back to track after some shop time. No Prep racing takes an incredible amount of driver skill, courage, and a set of big brass ones in order to survive.
