With the start of winter rapidly approaching, it might be a good time to warm up thanks to some amazing hot rods and pin up girls. Javier Padron posted an outstanding video that provided the rest of country with the sights and sounds of the 2015 Hot Rod Riot in south Texas. His video, titled You Lucky Devil – Hot Rod Riot 2015 @South Texas Performance, chronicled the best of the show along with an appearance by Miss Hot Rod Riot.

Just in case the cars and trucks were not enough visual stimulation, the Hot Rod Riot featured a pin up contest where all of beautiful and talented ladies competed for the title of Miss Hot Rod Riot 2015. With this addition, the event was a dream for photographers and videographers; the countless customs and rockabilly ladies provided the perfect balance of art and beauty.

Padron took the time to include a couple of mini-features for those who were unable to attend the festivities; two of the noteworthy rides included a 1943 Ford Deuce and Half and a 1947 Chevy COE. According to the YouTube video, the ’43 Ford started out a military vehicle and the owner payed homage to its history during the customization process.

The beast is now powered by a 460 CID that is crowned by 671 blower. With the horsepower issued handled, the former military truck received some custom touches such as non-functional guns where the fender hangers used to reside.

After the ’43 Ford, Padron focused his attention on a second vehicle, the 1947 Chevrolet COE turned tow truck. This hauler was designed to cart around the owners other hot rod, since it was impossible for him to drive two vehicles at the same time. During the short interview, the owner revealed the Cummins powered Chevrolet was equipped with air bags and most importantly AC.

With the heat in south Texas, this gentleman knew that it was necessary to keep his wife and babies cool and comfortable during carshows.
