2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the Grand National Roadster Show! As a special feature, the upcoming GNRS will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the 1928-1931 Ford Model-A. There will be a special display in Building Nine with historic and iconic roadsters, coupes, sedans, and pickups.
You’ll see hot rods, street rods and race cars built by Barris, Boyd, Brizio, Lil John, Chrisman, Pete & Jake, Magoo and many others. Plus, multiple AMBR winners along with NHRA and Bonneville record holders as well.. This historic display will be presented by C.W. Moss Ford Parts in Orange CA.
Many iconic cars are already scheduled to be on display, but there are a few that cannot be located. GNRS is looking for John Buttera’s silver roadster, Danny Brent’s red chopped sedan and Joe McPherson’s 1994 AMBR winner Any info on these cars whereabouts would be appreciated. You can call 877-763-7469×14 or email [email protected].
Times are changin’ folks. Over 100 years of automotive history, hot rods and culture–if left unattended–will be lost forever. Sadly, the country–as we knew it– is gone as well, so documenting the spectacle of the automobile of the 20th century is crucial. Efforts to locate cars and builders and memorialize them, is a noble cause and hopefully folks that have any information will reach out and lend a helping hand.
Lastly, if you’ve never been to GNRS, maybe 2019 is the year to go.
The Grand National Roadster Show will be held January 25-27 2019 at the Fairplex in Pomona CA.
